This video shows how to setup your radio for normal flight and for maple see recovery of the Foamaroo. The second half of the video shows the Foamaroo flat spinning all the way to the ground with the transmitter turned off. As usual - no damage! The nose cone comes off because I didn't have enough tape on it to hold it in place. We did this spin test three times today and the plane is still flying great! On October 21st, 2011, Thomas Senkel of e-volo made the first manned flight with an electric multicopter at an airstrip in the southwest of Germany. The flight lasted one minute and 30 seconds, after which the constructor and test pilot stated: "The flight characteristics are good natured. The world's largest radio control plane, the 1:5 scale B-29 Superfortress, with a Wingspan of 29.5 Ft and weighting in at a whopping 300 pounds.. It crashed. Currently resides in Ankeny, Iowa at the Iowa Heritage of Flight Museum at the Ankeny, Regional Airport. Where the expo was located.

A scratchbuilt 1/16th LCAC on it maiden flight. The scale details are being added now. The tank is a Tamiya Tiger weighing 8lbs and yes I know its a 1940's tank on a modern hovercraft but we were testing lift capability. eckace1 and I fly our radians on a windy winter's day from an abandoned Dahl's grocery store lot in NE Des Moines. across the street is a Quik Trio and Hubble ave is below us at times- I edited in views from 4 cameras- Bob does a good job of tailing me and gets many shots of my plane out in front of him- he scares me on landing with a swoop past my head and then I cartwheel in the wind when I land and knock my canopy off- no damage.. was a fun spot to fly and we got some new scenery- where will we go next?

I was deleting videos from my hard drive and grabbed a few and made this short video of my FPV R/C Piloting, Driving mixed together. Took a couple of hours and the song was playing on XM so I grabbed it also. Using small cameras, wireless transmitters and receivers I can see a First Person View of what the radio controlled aircraft/car is seeing. This allows a person to pilot/drive by the video in real-time. Fast Slope landing a 4m in 19 mph Winds

First attempt started too high. I pushed down, but it picked up too much speed, so I popped it up, flew back out, and used the motor to climb back up a little bit. While doing so, the motor spuddered a little bit. My thought was that my battery was low, and I'll have to stick this next landing. On the next approach, I came in a little slower, but still had a little speed. I thought w/ so much wind (it was about 19 mph) that it would be better to have a little speed to punch through any rotors, to be able to penetrate, and I didn't want to be on the verge of a stall on the back edge at the beginning of the landing area. I varied my altitude w/ crow, and speed w/ elevator. When I touched down I was still going w/ some speed and it skid about 25' to a stop. It made a lot of noise, but it was a soft touch down. The other guy said he couldn't believe I landed it that fast. I was like 'oh boy, that wasn't fun.', but was pumped that I landed successfully. from fly2bob@RCGroups
